A region where every family, wherever their story began, has the footing to thrive and the voice to lead.
Resilience is personal to us.
Resilient Nation was founded by an immigrant who knows how hard it is to start over. We help families in Central Virginia find their footing and their voice.
Immigrant. Advocate. Builder of bridges.
Veronica Reid has lived through exile, language barriers, and broken systems firsthand. She knows what it feels like to arrive somewhere new and start from nothing.
For more than 20 years she has served as an interpreter and advocate in schools, courts, and medical settings. Since 2014 she has worked directly with youth and families facing homelessness, disability, domestic violence, and mental health crises.
She founded Resilient Nation to give families what she once looked for: trusted support, in their own language, from someone who understands the road.
“I meet people where they are, help them build confidence and skills, and walk alongside them as they rediscover their strength and their voice.”Veronica Reid, MPA, QMHP
